지난 23일, 광주 KIA 챔피언스필드에서 열린 한국시리즈 경기에서 제이홉이 시구를 맡았습니다. 군대를 제대하고 처음으로 공식석상에 선 자리였죠. 광주 출신인 제이홉은 평소에도 고향팀인 KIA를 열렬히 응원해왔는데요, 이번 시구를 통해 다시 한번 팬들과 소통하고 싶었던 마음이 아니었을까 싶네요.
KIA 차에서 내리는 순간부터 시선을 사로잡았던 제이홉! 긴장된 모습이 역력했지만, 마운드에 올라서는 순간 프로의 모습을 보여주며 멋진 시구를 선보였습니다. 특히, 보라색 글러브에 새겨진 ‘J-HOPE’라는 이름이 정말 인상적이었죠. 아미 여러분, 다들 기억하시죠? 보라색은 우리의 상징색이잖아요!

BTS member J-Hope heated up the baseball stadium.
J-Hope took the mound as the ceremonial first pitch at the second game of the 2024 KBO League Korean Series between the KIA Tigers and Samsung Lions, held at Gwangju KIA Champions Field on the 23rd. This was his first official public appearance since his military discharge.
Hailing from Gwangju, J-Hope has frequently expressed his affection for his hometown and his beloved team, the KIA Tigers.
Stepping out of a KIA vehicle, J-Hope appeared slightly nervous as he ascended the mound but delivered a fantastic pitch. Notably, he wore a purple glove with his name, “J-HOPE,” embroidered on it, a nod to BTS’s signature color.
After the pitch, J-Hope tipped his hat and waved to the cheering fans, expressing his gratitude with a cute V-sign.
J-Hope enlisted in the military in April last year and served as a drill instructor at the 36th Infantry Division Baekho Recruit Training Center in Wonju, Gangwon-do. He was discharged on October 17th.
